Fleets urged to tap in to tech to improve road safety
Vehicle safety specialist Durite has encouraged fleets to identify risk earlier and improve road safety by leveraging connected and AI-enabled technology.
It has recently unveiled Durite Live AI, an AI-powered fleet management platform which combines live vehicle tracking, AI-enabled video telematics, driver behaviour analysis and predictive fleet insights within a single connected ecosystem.
Durite Live AI uses AI to analyse driver behaviour and trip data in real time. The platform can detect potential risks, prioritise alerts and provide tailored driver coaching.
According to Durite, this reflects a broader change in the way fleet operators are approaching road safety; rather than relying solely on reviewing incidents after they have occurred, they are turning to AI to identify potentially unsafe behaviour and developing risks in real time, allowing earlier intervention.
Vidwan Algoo, fleet technology manager at Durite, said: “Connected safety technologies are becoming an increasingly important part of modern fleet management.
“AI-enabled systems can provide operators with valuable real-time insight into driver behaviour, road conditions and operational risks, allowing earlier intervention and improved decision-making across the fleet.”
