Fleet Assist celebrates record year with Chinese brands
Fleet Assist has celebrated a record year after expanding its repair network to 9,300 service points and mobile units to nearly 10,000.
Growth has been driven by rising demand from new vehicle manufacturers from China entering the UK.
Its SMR network now includes a combination of franchised and independent workshops, fast fits, specialist repairers and mobile service units.
Nikos Kotrozos, Fleet Assist supply chain director, said: “New OEMs entering the UK market understand that a credible SMR ecosystem will help speed up their access to the fleet market which is why they are collaborating with us.
“Our managed SMR network strategy continues to be agnostic and deliver against the short and long-term needs of our fleet customers.
“It is not just about the number of garages we add to our network, it is about bringing on the right capacity and capability partners in the right locations with the right skillset.”
He added: “Currently over 86% of our network is EV-ready with many garages investing in technician training and their garage infrastructure to match the growth of new EV sales. This includes increasing capacity to accommodate 4.25-tonne electric vans as we future-proof the network to accommodate the needs of our LCV fleet customers.”
