FixMyCar completes management buyout

FixMyCar is under new ownership after completing a management buyout from parent company Niterra EMEA.

The car repair platform, which operates under WhoCanFixMyCar, was launched 14 years ago and acquired by Niterra EMEA in May 2023.

However, following a strategic review it has concluded that a management buyout will enable the company to continue its development.

The management buyout team consists of Amanda Webb, who will stay in position as chief executive officer, Ben Darby who will move from marketing director to chief operating officer, and Matt Wrankmore, who will now step into a chief customer officer role.

Fantastic opportunity

Webb said: “This management buyout presents a fantastic opportunity for FixMyCar and its employees, at a time of great change within the UK aftermarket.

“FixMyCar has sat at the heart of the UK aftermarket ecosystem for over a decade, and we are excited to lead the company into the next phase of its growth story; as we see wider adoption of drivers using online car repair bookings and strengthening our partnerships with UK garages and SMR partners.”

Damien Germès, president and CEO Niterra EMEA added: “Following a strategic review of our activities in the EMEA region and in alignment with our updated group portfolio strategy, we concluded that an independent ownership structure provides a suitable framework for FixMyCar’s continued development. We thank the management team for their commitment and wish them success in the next phase of the company’s evolution.”
