Fix Auto Saintfield in major investment and landmark relocation
Fix Auto UK has strengthened its position in Northern Ireland following a significant investment by franchisee Maurice Connor and the relocation of his Fix Auto Saintfield repair centre.
The business now operates from a truly distinctive site, an 18th-century farm set within 16 acres of picturesque County Down countryside, complete with a mile-long lake and located just a short distance from its original premises.

Since acquiring the new Fix Auto Saintfield property less than 12 months ago, Maurice and his wife Jenna (both pictured above), have overseen an extensive transformation. The farmhouse has been converted into modern office space, while surrounding outbuildings have been redeveloped into interconnected workshops designed to maximise efficiency and workflow. A purpose-built spray-painting facility has also been added, featuring two booths, including one for commercial vehicles and also includes a dedicated vehicle polishing bay.
The scale and quality of the investment were showcased recently during an official opening event attended by family, customers, suppliers and key Fix Auto UK partners 3M, LKQ and GYS, alongside fellow Fix Auto UK repairers and head office representatives.
This significance of the move is particularly notable given that less than four years ago Fix Auto UK had no presence in Northern Ireland. Today, the network now has seven accident repair centres collectively repairing a substantial volume of vehicles each month.

The Connors joined as one of the early adopters of the brand in the region, becoming the second site to operate under the Fix Auto UK banner. At the time, the business repaired around 15 vehicles per week. With support from the network this quickly increased to 25, revealing the constraints of his former 3,000-sq-ft facility. Following the move, capacity has already risen to more than 35 vehicles per week, with further growth anticipated.
Maurice Connor said: “Joining Fix Auto UK transformed my business and this investment has elevated everything we’re capable of achieving. We now have the space, facilities and environment to operate at a much higher level.”
“I was always super confident there was more potential, especially with the team I have around me, but the previous site held us back. Now, we’ve got the space, the facilities and the environment to really deliver at a much higher level. The move hasn’t just improved capacity, it’s elevated the whole operation, from workflow to team morale. It’s something we’re incredibly proud of, and it puts us in a fantastic position for future growth.”
Speaking at the official opening event, Mark Hutchins, operations director for Fix Auto UK, said: “What Maurice, Jenna and the team here in Saintfield have created is nothing short of exceptional. This facility sets another new benchmark for our Northern Ireland repairers. The investment, attention to detail and clear vision behind the site are evident in every aspect of the operation. It was a privilege to be part of the opening and to see first-hand the ambition and commitment that continues to drive the network forward.”
