Fix Auto Peterborough completes major investment

Fix Auto Peterborough expects to increase productivity by up to 40% following substantial investment in its facilities.

To maximise capacity, it has invested in four external work pods including an extra spraybooth, a dedicated mechanical bay, a MET preparation bay, and an additional repair work bay.

The expansion will support increased throughput while enhancing operational efficiency.

The company has also recruited an extra technician to manage greater volumes and plans to appoint a further productive team member in the coming weeks.

Sustained growth

Bodyshop manager Barry Monk said: “We’ve experienced sustained growth over the past few years, which is fantastic for the business, but it has meant we’re regularly pushing our existing workshop to its limits. Relocating wasn’t the right option for us, so investing in the new additional work pods allows us to maximise the space we already have while creating the extra capacity we need.

“This investment is about much more than adding workspace. It will improve the flow of repairs through the business and enable us to repair more vehicles without compromising the quality or service our customers and insurer partners expect.

“It also gives us the confidence to grow our team, creating new employment opportunities and ensuring we’re well placed for future growth.”

Confidence

Mark Hutchins, operations director for Fix Auto UK, added: “Barry and his team have built an excellent reputation through a relentless focus on quality, efficiency and customer service. This latest investment is a direct result of that success and demonstrates the confidence they have in the future of the business.

“Investments such as this not only increase repair capacity and efficiency, but also ensure our repairers remain well equipped to meet the growing expectations of insurer partners, vehicle manufacturers and motorists alike.

“We’re delighted to see Fix Auto Peterborough continuing to invest in its future and wish Barry and the team every success as they enter the next phase of their growth.”
