Fix Auto Oswestry completes major redevelopment
Fix Auto Oswestry has completed a £500,000 redevelopment programme that is expected to increase capacity by 25%.
The project has included the construction of a new 3,000 sqft workshop, taking the site’s total footprint beyond 10,000 sqft, as well as a complete redesign of the internal layout to create a seamless production flow.
At the heart of the redevelopment is the installation of two new gas-powered spraybooths, replacing three ageing units that had become a constraint on productivity. Their new central location has streamlined vehicle movement through the repair process, while the extra space created by removing the old ovens enables technicians to benefit from a dedicated two-vehicle work bay, significantly improving efficiency.
Managing director Lee Hitch said: “We’ve known for years our Oswestry site needed redesigning if we were going to unlock its full potential. The additional workshop has allowed us to rethink the entire layout. I’m delighted to say that now every element of the operation flows naturally, which means our technicians can work far more efficiently and, ultimately, deliver a far greater better service for our customers.”

Mark Hutchins, operations director for Fix Auto UK, added: “Fix Auto Oswestry is a fantastic example of the ambition, resilience and long-term commitment that continues to define the group. Lee and the entire team have not only invested significantly in their own future but have created a facility that reflects the standards and capabilities required of a modern repair centre.”
