Charity used car auction sets £400,000 target

Shoreham Vehicle Auctions will celebrate its support for Chestnut Tree House at its annual charity used car auction on 23 March.

Shoreham Vehicle Auctions has supported the children’s hospice for 15 years, raising £348,600 for the West Sussex-charity in that time.

It is now hoping to take that figure to above £400,000 by raising more than £50,000 later this month.

Dealers, suppliers and customers from across the industry are being encouraged to donate unwanted used cars, vans and quality auction prizes, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the charity. To further boost fundraising efforts, SVA will once again donate an additional £250 for every vehicle donated and sold.

Incredible cause

Alex Wright, managing director at Shoreham Vehicle Auctions and a patron of Chestnut Tree House, said: “For 15 years, the motor trade has come together to support this incredible cause. Every donated vehicle makes a genuine difference to the children and families supported by Chestnut Tree House.

“With a £50,000 target this year, we’re encouraging the industry to get behind the sale once again, whether that’s through vehicle donation or a financial pledge. Together, we can make this our biggest charity auction yet.”
