Ben Cardy remembered at Ezi Methods Golf Day
The winners of the 2026 Ezi Methods Golf Day have dedicated their victory to Ezi Methods co-founder Ben Cardy, who passed away last month.
Fix Auto Buckingham owner Richard Taylor led his team to victory at the prestigious Hindhead Golf Club in the Surrey Hills.
In second was Ezi Methods’ group operations director Chris Dore, Martyn Rowley of the NBRA and Tony Ash previously of A & B Motors, while third place went to Sam Richards, Mike Fuller and Tony Woodfine.
Dore said: “The golf day was a touching tribute to Ben. On behalf of his family, myself and everyone at Ezi Methods, I’d like to thank everyone who braved the elements and joined us on the course.
“Ben’s wife Rebecca and daughter Sophie were determined to honour his wishes and ensure the event he loved so much went ahead. We were equally determined to do him proud. We raised a glass to Ben before teeing off and carried his spirit with us throughout the day.”
He added:
“Anyone who knew Ben knew he enjoyed adding a little extra excitement to proceedings with a harmless flutter. It therefore seemed only fitting to organise a sweepstake on the day, with everyone digging deep to raise £300 for automotive charity BEN. It was a wonderful gesture and a fitting way to remember a much-missed friend and colleague.”
