BCA marks 80th anniversary in UK automotive industry

Vehicle remarketing services provider BCA is celebrating 80 years in the UK motor industry in 2026.

Widely recognised for vehicle remarketing, the business has evolved beyond auctions and now provides a broad range of connected services that help OEMs, fleets, finance providers, leasing companies, dealer groups and retailers move, prepare, manage and sell both new and used vehicles.

That support includes new vehicle services, vehicle storage, technical preparation, refurbishment, imaging, logistics, in-life fleet services, end-of-contract defleet, retail preparation, funding solutions and digital remarketing.

Together, these capabilities give customers access to scale, data, infrastructure and expertise designed to improve speed, consistency, efficiency and value at every stage of the vehicle journey.

BCA’s online marketplace remains at the core of that proposition, connecting sellers with a significant network of professional buyers and offering thousands of vehicles every day through live online sales, timed auctions and fixed-price channels.

BCA chief operating officer Stuart Pearson said: “BCA has always adapted to the changing needs of the automotive industry. Our heritage is in auctions, but our role today is much broader. We help customers manage vehicles more efficiently from the point they enter the supply chain through to preparation, sale, movement and reuse.”
