AVRO calls for Vehicle Recovery Options Assessment consultation response
The Association of Vehicle Recovery Operators has expressed concern over delayed result of the Vehicle Recovery Options Assessment consultation.
The vehicle recovery consultation closed last July but the government has not published its findings despite Cabinet Office Consultation Principles stipulating responses should be available within 12 weeks.
AVRO said this lack of engagement undermines confidence in the consultation process and has now written to the Home Office seeking a response, update, or implementation timetable.
The company said: “AVRO is calling on the Home Office to clarify the status of the proposed legislative amendments and publish an immediate holding statement setting out next steps and indicative timescales.
“AVRO remains committed to constructive engagement but says continued silence is no longer sustainable.”
