Automotive charity Ben seeks new leadership
Automotive charity Ben is inviting applications as it launches its search for a new chair and trustees.
As it begins a new chapter in its 120-year history, it is seeking passionate and forward-thinking leaders to help shape the direction and vision of health and wellbeing across the sector.
This comes as the charity completes a major two-year transformation and divestment programme and unveils a bold new plan to treble its impact and provide health and wellbeing support to over 10,000 individuals by 2030.
This recruitment process follows the retirement of long-serving trustees Steve Nash (chair), Graeme Potts, Robin Woolcock and Jeremy Hicks.

Passionate leaders
Rachel Clift, CEO of Ben, said: “Ben simply wouldn’t be the charity it is today without the commitment, wisdom and leadership of our retiring trustees. Their contribution has been immense, and we are incredibly grateful for the role they have played.
“We now look forward with strong foundations in place. We’re seeking passionate leaders who want to help us accelerate our ambition, develop our vision for the future and expand the support we provide to our automotive family. This is an exciting moment for Ben and a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference.”
Will Dalton, interim chair, said:
“This is a unique and exciting opportunity for new trustees to influence and elevate how Ben shapes the future of health and wellbeing support across the industry. I’m honoured to support the charity at the start of this transition and look forward to welcoming new voices and perspectives to the Board as we pursue impactful change.”
