Auto Windscreens Clearly the Best winner revealed

Auto Windscreens has revealed its ‘Clearly the Best’ winner, with Portsmouth lead technician Jonathan Lord taking the title.

The competition took place at Auto Windscreens’ training centre and headquarters in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, with Craig Foy from Stoke-on-Trent, Dean Carter from Colchester and Ian Brown from Portsmouth also making the final.

Lord came out on top after being scored on glass repair, a windscreen and rear door glass replacement and the removal and refit on a vehicle with a traditional rubber fitment windscreen.

Sean Draycott, operations director at Auto Windscreens, said: “Our technicians have a challenging role, and one that’s changing all the time due to the advancements in glass and the growth of ADAS.

“We hold this competition every year because we’re so proud of all our technicians’ training and skills and how they look after our customers. The finalists this year have a combined 50 years’ experience between them, and it was quite a contest. Our winner and our finalists epitomise all that’s ‘Clearly the Best’ about our company and our industry, and I’d like to congratulate them all on their achievements.”

Meanwhile, Alex Pritchard from Stoke was named Auto Windscreens Apprentice of the Year.
