ADAS helps half of van drivers avoid accidents
ADAS features helped nearly half of van drivers avoid accidents last year, according to research from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Its survey of 1,000 van drivers revealed that 45% said ADAS helped them avoid at least one accident during 2025.
Nearly six in 10 (58%) said parking sensors helped prevent an incident. This was followed by collision warning (40%), park assist (32%), speed assistance (27%), lane assist (23%), autonomous emergency braking (22%), and drowsiness monitoring (15%).
The survey also found that 74% of drivers reported to feeling safer behind the wheel as a result of ADAS features.
Van drivers spend an average of 5.5 hours a day on the road.
