3M RepairStack system receives ‘royal’ seal of approval

Fix Auto Park Royal has become the 10th repairer in the UK to install the 3M RepairStack system. This marks a significant milestone in the rapid adoption of the innovative product since its official unveiling to the UK market during Fix Auto UK’s National Conference in May.

Developed to help revolutionise the way repairers manage materials and consumables along with processes and performances of staff, the system combines advanced digital inventory management, real-time data tracking and seamless digital workflows. The pioneering solution ensures repairers can streamline processes, reduce waste, improve profitability per repair thanks to precise invoicing for materials and goods used.

‘Royal approval’ for 3M RepairStack

For Fix Auto Park Royal, the decision to install 3M RepairStack was a natural step in its commitment to continually improve operational services and invest in new technology. They are following the lead set by Fix Auto Penzance – the first to commit, signing up within the first hour of the Conference – swiftly followed by Fix Auto Uxbridge.

Tony Rispoli (above left), Fix Auto Park Royal managing director, said: “We are constantly looking at ways to enhance efficiency, productivity, profitability and, ultimately, provide the best possible service to our customers and work providers. RepairStack provides unprecedented visibility of our consumables usage and has immediately helped us to manage our bodyshop smarter.”

Developed in the US over the past four years where more than 4,000 bodyshops have embraced the system, which is a humble but highly secure metal cabinet accessible via a bespoke Bluetooth system programmed to individual technicians. The software linked to the same digital key-turned-scanner enables the user to “check out” and assign consumables to individual repairs, ensuring total transparency for both the insurer and the bodyshop. Crucially, the bespoke software enables the repairer to precisely, and legitimately, charge for items that all too often get missed from a final invoice.

UK RepairStack sales take off

Lee Roan (above right), strategic accounts and RepairStack sales leader, Automotive Aftermarket Division for 3M, said: “RepairStack has truly taken off here in the UK. We are absolutely delighted by the response it has received from the industry since we first launched it here during the Fix Auto UK National Conference.

“While it is firmly established Stateside, our primary goal when we launched it here in May was to gauge the appetite for the UK market. I’m pleased to say, the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive from seasoned 3M customers. Reaching our 10th installation milestone so quickly is a clear indicator how the platform is able to bring immediate value to a business.”

Roan added: “As we work towards the end of the year and look towards 2026, it’s fair to say plans are afoot to increase and speed up our roll-out programme.”
