Zeus set for British Touring Car Championship showcase

Zeus Accident Repair will use virtual reality at this year’s British Touring Car Championship Brands Hatch event to promote jobs in the industry to a wider audience.

Working alongside LKQ, it will showcase the opportunities in the sector by letting visitors try their hand at paint spraying through various virtual reality tasks as the BTCC event, which takes place on 4-5 October.

Zeus will also highlight routes into the industry with key information about how to join the academy and automotive recruitment.

Joe Stavrinidis, managing director of Zeus Accident Repair, said: “The first reason we’re doing this is to encourage people to see that anything is possible and you can achieve your goals within the industry by starting out as an apprentice.

“Secondly, I really want to educate people on where the industry is today with state-of-the-art facilities instead of the dirty old workshops most people think of. We also want to demonstrate the advanced technology and skills needed to repair modern vehicles, including the importance of calibration in the future in repairs.

“And finally, we want to drive recruitment of the next generation into the industry from a racetrack location where people will have an interest in cars.”
