Vertu Motors opens new Volvo dealerships in South West
Vertu Motors has announced it is opening two new Volvo dealerships in Yeovil and Plymouth, following a £3.6m investment.
The expansion continues Vertu Motors’ strategy of increasing its footprint in the South West, following the acquisitions of Rowes Garage and Helston Garages Group in recent years.
The expansion will also see Volvo Yeovil relocate to a new site and the Volvo brand returning to Plymouth for the first time in 17 years.
Meanwhile, a significant investment in Volvo technology and equipment together with large parts departments will ensure the two new Vertu Volvo sites are well placed to provide outstanding Volvo aftersales support to customers.
New Volvo dealerships
Nick Jones, Volvo franchise director at Vertu, said: “We are very excited to expand our Volvo representation to six sites across the South West, as we open the doors to these fantastic new dealerships. The news comes just a month after the company announced an unexpected profit warning, saying it would cut jobs and close dealerships to reduce costs.
