Used electric vehicle prices hit record low in June
Second hand car market data analysts Marketcheck has revealed that average used electric vehicle prices cars fell to their lowest level in June.
Its analysis found that the average last listed price of sold used EVs in the UK fell to £22,805 last month, down from its previous low level of £24,352 recorded in January.
Meanwhile, sales volumes rose to their second highest monthly level, with 20,081 used electric vehicles sold in June, behind March’s total of 20,882 units.
Alastair Campbell, Marketcheck UK, said: “The June figures continue to demonstrate a consistent reduction in the last listed price of used EVs. This is alongside the second highest sold monthly volume of used EVs, which is showing that the used EV market is in good health right across the UK.
“This combination of falling prices and high volumes signals that used EVs are becoming more accessible and desirable to UK buyers. Marketcheck’s data will continue to monitor this evolving space as electric vehicles become a more mainstream choice for second-hand car buyers.”
