Steer Automotive Group acquires Collision Repair
Steer Automotive Group has acquired Scotland-based Collision Repair, which had fallen into administration.
The deal safeguards 19 automotive jobs while also increasing Steer Automotive Group’s capacity in the country.
Collision Repair operates a large-scale repair facility near Glasgow and provides high-quality repair services across passenger vehicles and LCVs. The site is also equipped with a 400-vehicle storage capability.
This latest acquisition forms part of Steer Automotive Group’s strategic growth plan, which has seen it acquire React Accident Repair Group and unveil Steer Farnham this year.
Growth strategy
Richard Steer, chief executive, said: “The initial discussions we have often progress to nothing, but this case was too good an opportunity to turn down. We moved swiftly to protect the livelihoods of Collision Repair’s skilled employees.
“This investment also builds on our capacity in Scotland and supports our continued focus on regional growth and service excellence.
“We look forward to working together to build on the foundations already in place and supporting the team as they transition into this next chapter as part of Steer Automotive Group.”
