Sales of used hybrid vehicles nearly double
New research has revealed that sales of used hybrid vehicles have almost doubled in the last two years.
According to analysis carried out by Marketcheck, used hybrid sales in the UK increased from 17,676 units in May 2023 to 30,930 units in May this year.
This represents an increase of 74.98% over a two-year period.
Meanwhile, despite some fluctuations in demand, used hybrid sales have grown consistently across the period with January 2025 marking the most significant rise, up 10,326 sales.
However, despite increased market demand the average prices of used hybrid vehicles have remained fairly stable, falling from £25,949 in May 2023 to £24,006 two years later. Average prices in January were recorded at £23,958, falling to £23,868 in February before rising to £24,395 in March.
