Repair work via BookMyGarage trebles
Repair work booked via the BookMyGarage platform rose by 32% year-on-year in September.
Further analysis of the data revealed that about 90% of all the appointments made on the online site were for a combination of service and MOT work.
BookMyGarage chief marketing officer Jessica Potts said: “We are very excited to be on track for a record year this year for MOT and service bookings.
“This customer demand provides our garage partners with a reliable stream of predictable bookings for bread and butter work that is low on complexity and doesn’t tie up ramps, resulting in maximum efficiency. The ongoing confidence drivers place in using our platform for these services has proved itself to be a reliable revenue booster for workshops.
“There is also the upsell opportunity presented through those vehicles where the garage can undertake additional repair work.”
Regular work
She continued: “The data is clear; garages can thrive when they attract regular work from consumers. But the real opportunity lies in filling the quieter gaps and last-minute cancellations.
“At BookMyGarage, we don’t just help garages get found; we’re helping them get smart about when to attract more new customers, filling capacity with highly efficient work.
“With December fast approaching, many garages may be seeing gaps in their diaries, but that doesn’t mean ramps have to sit empty. It’s about being in the right place, at the right time when drivers are in-market for these services in your local area.”
