Onyx and BodyNet combine repair and estimating expertise
Onyx and BodyNet will combine their expertise in a single business to deliver a connected suite of repair and estimating systems for bodyshops.
The move follows Activate Group’s acquisition of Avant Group, which has brought the BodyNet and Onyx businesses together under one ownership structure.
Onyx Repair Innovations
Onyx Repair Innovations is a family of well-established products including Onyx, BodyNet, AutoPad, and Connect MI which offer a suite of connected tools designed for modern repairers.
At the heart of the new Onyx product suite are three systems that work seamlessly together to give repairers complete control of estimating, repair management and reporting.
The Onyx bodyshop management system combines BodyNet with Onyx’s cloud-based technology to create a feature-rich solution offering full mobile usability, allowing repairers and managers to access key functions anywhere in the workshop.
Intuitive, task-driven automations simplify daily processes, allocating jobs, triggering updates and keeping teams informed throughout every repair. The system also integrates with Onyx’s Technician and Driver Apps, enabling efficient communication and smooth handovers across the repair process.
AutoPad
For estimating, the AutoPad system brings a number of different options together to identify and estimate damage.
Bringing all data together is Connect MI, Onyx’s intelligent reporting platform, which provides a single view of estimating and repair performance. This insight helps repairers identify trends, highlight missed opportunities and drive greater efficiency and profitability.
Pete Thompson, managing director at Onyx, said: “Bringing Onyx and BodyNet together allows us to offer a complete, connected suite of systems that truly supports how bodyshops work today.
“Both brands are trusted and valued across the repair community, and by combining their strengths, we’re creating a modern, flexible solution that gives managers the insight, control and connectivity they need to run efficiently and profitably.”
