NBRA members invited to employment events inside UK prisons

The NBRA is inviting its members to take part in a series of three exclusive employment events inside UK prisons in 2025.

These events, organised by the Cumbria and Lancashire Prison Group, will provide a unique opportunity to engage with potential candidates, explore recruitment opportunities, and gain insights into the skills and qualifications prisoners are developing ahead of their release.

The first of the three events will take place on 3 April at HMP Lancaster Farms on the outskirts of Lancaster. It will be a full-day event where employers can meet prisoners, discuss employment opportunities, and identify potential candidates for follow-up interviews. Smaller recruitment and interview sessions can also be arranged, the NBRA said.

The second event, on 1 May at HMP Wymott near Leyland in Lancashire, will be a “Ways into Work” event which will focus on prisoners nearing release, connecting them with employers looking to hire motivated individuals ready to reintegrate into the workforce.

Later in the year, on 11 September, HMP Lancaster Farms with host another full day recruitment event for employers.

Bodyshop recruitment and hiring managers interested in attending any of the events should register their interest by contacting Vicky Griffin ([email protected]).
