Mercedes Sprinter tops list of recalled vans
New research has identified the Mercedes Sprinter as the most recalled van model in the UK.
Analysis carried out by temporary van insurance provider Tempcover found that the Mercedes Sprinter was involved in 32 recall incidents from 2020 to 2024.
These recalls were due to a range of issues, including software and electronic system malfunctions, potential mechanical failures, and safety concerns involving seat mechanisms and electrical wiring.
Meanwhile, the Ford Transit and Vauxhall Vivaro were in joint second place with 13 recall incidents recorded between 2020 and 2024.
The Peugeot Expert was recalled 11 times during the same period, while the Ford Transit Custom was recalled on nine occasions.
Fewest recalls
In contrast, the VW Crafter and Ford Transit Connect ranked with the least number of recall incidents, with one recorded each between 2020 and 2024.
