LKQ Bodyshop appoints Pete Brookes as sales director
LKQ Bodyshop has appointed Pete Brookes as sales director to help position the company as a key partner to UK bodyshops.
Brookes steps up from his role as divisional director (UK North and Ireland), which he has held for 13 years, and brings extensive knowledge of the aftermarket as a whole to his new position.
Meanwhile, his experience in parts supply will be relevant to the continued expansion of LKQ’s Platinum collision parts range and to the launch of LKQ SYNETIQ, a new joint venture between LKQ and IAA that will give UK and Irish bodyshops the flexibility to source new, recycled or remanufactured parts from a single provider.
Brookes said: “I’m delighted to be joining the LKQ Bodyshop team at such a pivotal time for the industry. Rapid technological advancements in the UK vehicle parc, combined with a sharper focus on sustainability – from reducing operating costs to minimising environmental impact – are reshaping the way bodyshops do business, and that includes growing interest in and demand for remanufactured and recycled parts.
“My priority is to work with all bodyshops, from independent operators to national groups – to understand their priorities and ensure their voices continue to be heard at every level of our business.
“This is about leveraging our expertise and resources to develop tailored solutions will make a real difference to the work they deliver, the customer experience they offer and ultimately, to their bottom line.”
Strong relationships
LKQ Bodyshop managing director Chris O’Rourke added: “What continues to impress me most is the commitment our team shows in building strong relationships. Adding values by being agile, listening while supporting each individual needs, always with the goal of supporting sustainable and profitable growth.
“That dedication is reflected in the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit we see across our industry, and together it creates powerful partnerships uniquely placed to drive progress and shape the future of the repair market. Pete’s appointment will strengthen our ability to harness that combination, ensuring we remain fully aligned with the needs of every partner.”
