IAAF announces new tiered membership structure

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) is launching new tiered options to offer greater support to members.

It will introduce a new structured membership in January 2026 to help more repairers benefit from IAAF representation and resources such as training and compliance support.

There will be three tiers of membership available: Registered member, accredited member and leadership member.

Registered membership will remain free of charge and offer access to the IAAF Training Academy as well as regular news and industry updates.

Meanwhile, advanced levels of paid for memberships will offer further benefits such as lobbying support, Motor Ombudsman accreditation, market insights, and participation in the IAAF Garage Council, which has been set up to help shape industry policy and provide vital feedback.

Raising standards

Mark Field, IAAF chief executive, said: “Membership of IAAF will remain free at the point of entry. I believe that every garage should have access to an association.

“It is important that every business, garage and technician has their voice heard and work on the greater goal of raising standards. Our garage membership will be run by garages for garages and IAAF will work tirelessly to support all areas of their business.”
