Hendy Group restructure continues regional shift

The Hendy Group restructure has continued with the appointment of 20 new general managers.
The restructure is focused on shifting to a regional operating model, with new Central, West, and East divisions established to provide a more localised service to customers and boost efficiencies.
Each of the new general managers will oversee daily operations at a dealership level. They will then report to their regional operational director.
Sarah Martyn, Hendy Group director of people and organisational development, said: “We’re proud to offer more than just jobs. For those who share our drive for high performance, Hendy offers a long-term career with access to world-class learning and development.
“Internal promotions filled a number of these roles and we’re also pleased to bring in fresh thinking from outside the group.”
Landmark moment
Chief executive Paul Hendy added:
“This is a landmark moment for us. While we’ve been around for over 160 years, this shift in structure feels like a fresh start. The new model is already unlocking new opportunities to improve performance and deliver the standout customer experiences that define the Hendy brand.”
The news comes after Hendy Group added BYD to its portfolio last month, meaning it now supports 23 different brands. The company is redeveloping a vacant vehicle showroom in Kent to accommodate the fastest growing car brand in the UK.
The new 3,200 sqft showroom will be open for business early next month.
