Festive charity spirit shines in iRG Christmas video
iRG Repair Group is spreading plenty of festive cheer this year with the release of a fun iRG Christmas video and, in the season of giving, is also showing its support for a well-known children’s charity.
As part of its Christmas celebrations, the bodyshop business has produced a special video released today (19 December) on its social media channels and featuring a seasonal tale that reflects the family values, culture and ethos of the business now established as Wales’ largest repair group.

The concept was inspired by the success of a similar video commissioned in 2020 which resonated strongly with employees and across the sector.
In the latest two-minute production, iRG comes to the rescue of Santa Claus, who calls on their services after his sleigh is crashed by The Grinch. Recovered to one of its bodyshops, the sleigh is then repaired by a young team played by the children of iRG employees who fix it so Santa can be on his way to deliver presents on Christmas Eve.
Managing director Lee Wallbank said of the iRG Christmas video: “The involvement of the sons and daughters of staff was intended to extend the Christmas spirit beyond the workplace, reinforcing a sense of community, family and shared pride within the business. All performed their roles incredibly well and who knows but we might well have launched the careers of some future television and movie stars!
“We send season’s greetings to all our customers, work providers and everyone who works in our magnificent industry and we hope that our video will put them in the Christmas spirit in the run-up to the big day.”
The film was created by David Williams, a long-standing and trusted creative partner who has produced previous videos for the business but whose work as a videographer and cameraman is mostly sports-based. He worked closely with the iRG team to develop the script with filming taking place over eight hours in Cardiff earlier this month.
Williams said: “It was great to work on iRG’s festive video and film something a little different to the ice hockey and EFL football that I’m heavily involved with most of the time. Involving the sons and daughters of members of the iRG team made it feel more Christmassy and magical – the children were amazing and loved filming with Santa and working on his sleigh.”
Save the Children fundraising
iRG will also be making a donation to Save the Children after its six sites in Bridgend, Cardiff, Hereford, Merthyr, Newport and Pontypridd took part in a Christmas Jumper Day, with the money raised being channelled into supporting the charity’s work in protecting children and ensuring they have access to education, healthcare and essential support.
