The data revealed that the most accessed resources were ‘Why Rent an EV’ and ‘Charging an EV’, with top search terms being ‘hybrid’, ‘EV technology’ and ‘PHEV’

Meanwhile, 57% of people accessed the hub via a mobile device, with 83% driving up to 50 miles a day in an electric car.

More than a third (67%) planned to hire a car for one to three days, with 51% looking for a hatchback and 44% wanting a compact SUV.

Tom Middleditch, head of Electric Mobility at Europcar, said: “The overwhelming success of our EV Guide and Knowledge Hub is a clear demonstration of the growing interest in electric vehicles.

“We are thrilled to provide a platform that empowers individuals and businesses to explore the benefits of EVs, addressing their key concerns and facilitating informed decisions. The data clearly shows a strong appetite for practical information and hands-on experience, which we are committed to delivering in order to support drivers on their EV journey.”
