Dean Gawthrope ARC joins Fix Auto UK network

Pontefract-based of Dean Gawthrope ARC has joined the Fix Auto UK network and will now operate as Fix Auto Pontefract.

Owner Dean Gawthrope nearly joined the network in 2018 but chose instead to focus on building his business into one of the UK’s leading heavy goods vehicle repair centres and helping to establish a network of HGV repairers.

HGV repairs will remain the mainstay of the business, but joining Fix Auto UK will help elevate its car, LCV, motorhome and caravan repairing operation.

Operating from a 16,000 sqft workshop with 18 bays, two spraybooths, alloy wheel refurbishments and 10 highly skilled productives capable of repairing more than 20 vehicles a week, Dean Gawthrope ARC also holds vehicle manufacturer approvals for Ford, Toyota and Lexus.

Development

Gawthrope said: “Joining Fix Auto UK and becoming part of the group has long been on my agenda but the timing wasn’t quite right, especially as we’ve concentrated our efforts on the HGV side of the business. That has grown and developed beyond all recognition and it’s something I’m super proud of, especially the network of fellow HGV repairers we’ve managed to build up.

“While our car repairs have been integral to our operation, we’re now at a point where we want to take that to a whole new level too, joining Fix Auto UK will do just that, and more.”

Mark Hutchins, operations director for Fix Auto UK, added:

“Dean Gawthrope ARC is a name synonymous in the HGV repair sector. We’re just overjoyed he’s bringing his pool of talented, highly skilled individuals into the group. His ability to repair literally anything, from the humblest cars to the biggest machines on our roads really does elevate our proposition.”
