Crouch Recovery adds heavyweight capacity to growing fleet

Crouch Recovery

Crouch Recovery, one of the UK’s leading vehicle recovery specialists, has taken delivery of its first Renault Trucks C Range 8X4 with an operating capacity of 120 tonnes.

The new addition marks a significant milestone in the company’s fleet expansion and reinforces its commitment to high performance, versatile and environmentally compliant vehicles.

Crouch Recovery goes big

Purpose-built to handle the most demanding recovery operations, the Renault Trucks C has been extensively reinforced. This chassis has been strengthened from the rear of the engine to the back of the chassis, with a reinforced removable front towing cap, transmission cross member, and robust steel bumpers. Equipped with a heavy-duty Optidriver gearbox and a Voith hydraulic retarder, the vehicle offers superior control and braking performance, even at maximum capacity.

Gavin Pike, operations director at Crouch, said:

“We haven’t had a heavy-duty Renault in a long time, and this new model is a flagship addition to our fleet. It’s the right vehicle for our needs – powerful, versatile, and built to handle the toughest recovery tasks across the UK.

“Our drivers are excited – it looks fantastic in our signature orange, and the comfort levels are unmatched. This is not just a workhorse: it’s a premium workspace.”

Crouch Recovery’s ongoing strategy is to continually upgrade and expand its recovery fleet with high-spec, low-emission vehicles. With full compliance for low emission zones (LEZs) the truck aligns with the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while maintaining robust recovery capabilities.

This vehicle, supplied by RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV), will operate across the UK, serving in a wide range of scenarios from standard breakdowns to specialist heavy recoveries.
