ChipsAway adds support to Breast Cancer Now

ChipsAway is taking part in a company-wide initiative to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Now.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with around 55,000 women and 400 men diagnosed each year, while Breast Cancer Now is the largest breast cancer charity in the UK.

Throughout October ChipsAway colleagues, franchisees and support staff will take part in a range of activities to support the charity. These include the ‘100 Miles in October’ challenge and the national ‘Wear it Pink’ on 24 October.

This year’s campaign is particularly significant for ChipsAway, with franchise support team member Amy currently undergoing treatment after a recent breast cancer diagnosis.

Vital research

Annabel Hall, franchise support team leader, said: “Breast cancer is a disease that sadly touches so many lives, including within our own team. We want to show our support for Amy and raise money for vital research and support services.

“It’s also been inspiring to see so many of our franchisees across the networks getting involved – a true testament to the community spirit that Amy herself has helped nurture.”
