Carlisle transit centre unveiled by TrustFord

TrustFord has officially celebrated the opening of its Carlisle transit centre.

The ribbon was cut on the new site was opened on 3 July by TrustFord CEO Stuart Mustoe, and Mandy Dean, director of commercial vehicles at Ford of Britain & Ireland.

Also in attendance were Mark Hughes, head coach at Carlisle United FC, representatives from Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, and members of TrustFord’s Board and Leadership team.

The state-of-the-art facility covers three acres, including a 15,000 sqft showroom and an eight-bay, EV-equipped workshop space. The energy efficient, new build showroom has also achieved an Energy Performance Certificate ‘A’ rating, and includes solar PV panels to generate electricity, while the use of LED lighting will improve energy efficiency.

Mustoe said: “It was a pleasure to visit Carlisle to officially open our new Transit Centre. This impressive new facility reflects TrustFord’s continued investment in the area and our commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

“I’m incredibly proud of our Carlisle team and everyone who supported the project — their hard work has ensured this site truly represents our goal of driving the standard in customer care.”

Speaking at the opening Mandy Dean added: “It’s a privilege to join the team at Carlisle and celebrate the official opening of this new Transit Centre. This stunning new site is a great space for customers to come and experience our latest commercial vehicles — including the E-Transit Custom and Ranger Plug-In Hybrid.”
