Ben launches new EDI training course
Automotive charity Ben has launched its new EDI training course to promote Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in the automotive sector.
The course covers the impact of EDI, strategies for recognising and addressing bias and how to champion diversity as a driving force for innovation and collaboration within organisations.
This four-hour course is deliverable either face-to-face or virtually, with course participants having open conversations about the significance of EDI in the workplace, learning how unconscious bias operates and exploring practical ways to embed inclusive practices across their organisation.
Julie Hayes, specialist services lead at Ben, said: “We’re delighted to be launching our new Equality, Diversity & Inclusion training. EDI training helps build a fairer, more respectful, and more innovative workplace while also driving business success.”
Compelling reasons
She continued: “With over 120 years serving the automotive industry, we’re best placed to support automotive workers, offering the training needed to help them to live well and work well, as well as working closely with employers to build a resilient and motivated workforce.
“There are many compelling reasons for automotive companies to invest in EDI training. Inclusive workplaces promote mutual respect and belonging, helping employees feel valued, improving engagement and retention.
“Diverse perspectives fuel creativity, innovation and stronger decision-making, while improved cultural awareness enhances customer relations and reputation. In addition, proactive.”
