Dealership enquiries spike on Tuesdays

Tuesdays are the busiest day for enquiries at dealerships, according to new research.

iTrackLEADS has examined data from 400 dealerships to find that the number of enquiries was 47% higher on Tuesdays than on Fridays, while Saturdays and Sundays were the quietest days for enquiries.

This reveals an evolution in consumer habits, with Mondays being the busiest days in both 2021 and 2022. Tuesdays became the busier day during 2023 and that trend has become more pronounced this year.

Meanwhile, the data has also revealed that around 78% of sales go to the dealer that reacts the quickest to an enquiry, meaning dealerships need to ensure they have the resources to handle a spike in volumes on Tuesdays.

Adrian Favill, director of iTrackLEADS, said: “It’s important that leads are followed up promptly and enough resources are available to ensure this happens even on the busiest days. Data shows the chances of converting a potential lead into a successful sale increase by seven times when responses are received within just 30 minutes.”
