Auto Windscreens unveils Park Royal site

Auto Windscreens has cut the ribbon on its first service centre within London’s North Circular.

The expansion follows a 20% rise in windscreens requiring ADAS calibrations in London in the last year.

Sean Draycott, operations director at Auto Windscreens, said: “ADAS calibrations are a significant and growing part of our business, since most new vehicles now include at least one safety feature as standard. ADAS technology is set to continue growing, as from July this year, according to the European Commission’s new rules to improve road safety , all new vehicles from the EU will need to have intelligent speed assistance, reversing detection with camera or sensors, attention warning in case of driver drowsiness or distraction, event data recorders and additional features such as lane keeping systems and automated braking.

“In line with our plans for growth, our new Park Royal site is the first of many that we intend to open in the future. This is our fifth location within the M25, complementing our existing sites in Romford, Crayford, Croydon and Heathrow. It’s our most central site in the capital and is perfect to serve the increasing number of customers we’re seeing in London.”
