Maldon moves to new expanded site

Maldon Accident Repair Centre is moving into an 18,000sq ft bespoke premises on the same trading estate in Heybridge, Maldon.

The new shop is being equipped with three STL ovens for painting cars and commercial vehicles up to 26 tonnes, while two Blackhawk Korek’s have been installed and the site will also be able to handle EVs and hybrids.

A supply agreement has been signed with Morelli Group and Glasurit, with the new 100 line for passenger car and 68 Line for commercial repairs being installed.

Shannon Kuchinir, Maldon ARC operations director, said: “We knew we wanted to expand the premises as soon as we took over the business from the previous owners. We need to be able to repair light commercial vehicles and the existing premises will not allow for this. The new workshop has ample parking and the access is perfect for the work mix we are undertaking, I cannot wait until our open days 27 and28 November now the work has started on the booths”

Mark Moring, national sales director, Morelli Group, said: “It is very exciting to see the diggers going in to start the excavations for the new booths. It won’t be long before the Glasurit paint schemes are installed, and the first vehicles are being repaired.”
