Ignition announces change of ownership

The full-service training and experiential events agency Ignition has announced it has transferred ownership to an EOT, which now owns a majority share of the company on behalf of the staff.

Ignition delivers award-winning programmes in strategy, events, experiential and training, and also offers a full-service e-learning skillset and provides webinar support.

Favouring the EOT approach versus a global take-over, the 24-strong agency, which supports leading automotive and mobility OEMs and blue-chip brands globally, will now be led by new managing director, Simon McDermott.

Previous managing director and majority shareholder Rob Forsyth will continue to act in an advisory capacity.

McDermott said: “Ignition is a unique company. It’s a natural step for it to be owned by those who make it so special, the employees. I have spent more than 25 years working with some of the best in the business, most recently as Ignition’s commercial director and my hope is to celebrate and reward this dedicated team in all that they continue to do.”
