IAAF appoints new CV head

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has appointed Sue McKay onto the Federation’s Council as its new head of the commercial vehicle section.

MvKay, global category manager for commercial vehicles at TMD Friction, follows a number of new council members appointed at the IAAF’s most recent annual general meeting, when the appointment of new president Craig McCracken was finalised.

McKay said: “I’ve been part of the IAAF CV committee for some time examining how the forum is led and developed. Together with IAAF chief executive officer Mark Field, we have tabled several topics affecting the commercial vehicle parts aftermarket, and will work with suppliers, distributors, and end users to addresses these challenges head on.

“We’re also going to develop interest within CV among colleges and schools, and engage more, new commercial vehicle members onto the IAAF committee to discuss how the Federation can best meet the needs of their business.”

Mark Field, chief executive at IAAF, said: “Having someone so enthusiastic and knowledgeable in the role will galvanise the Federation to help us carve out a recognisable identity for CV, with new, dedicated and regular communications to the wider aftermarket on CV activity, and gathering of further market intelligence so we can advocate for the sector’s needs.”
