Fix Auto UK pair celebrate PAS 2060

Fix Auto Mid Devon and Fix Auto Worsley are the latest franchise partners to celebrate achieving PAS 2060 accreditations.

The two repairers have worked successfully with the network’s outsourced procurement partner Purchase Direct to complete their Driving Net Zero programme and achieve their respective carbon neutral statuses.

In addition, significant measures undertaken by Fix Auto Park Royal over the last 12 months have not only secured the business its PAS 2060 certification for the second successive year, but the Greater London-based repairer also reduced its carbon footprint by an astounding 31%.

Dom Lamb, director at Fix Auto Mid Devon, said: “We have long been extremely conscious and actively invested in various areas and procedures to reduce our carbon footprint. A decade ago, as an example, we first installed solar panels to help power the site and then energy efficient LED lighting. More recent initiatives include upgrading to an eco-friendly paint system, which in turn, has allowed us to reduce bake temps and cycle times.

“We turned to Purchase Direct to help evaluate exactly where we stood in terms of the measures needed to further reduce our footprint. Our goal since Christmas is to achieve our PAS 2060 which I am delighted to say we have done. Our next challenge is to make further reductions and invest in some local carbon-reducing projects.”

Sarah Hewitt, office manager at Fix Auto Worsley, added: “We are absolutely delighted to achieve our PAS 2060 certification. We have implemented numerous measures to reduce our carbon footprint and this is just the start for us. We are now looking at additional measures and further investment to take it to another level.”

Tony Rispoli, managing director at Fix Auto Park Royal, said: “When we first gained our PAS 2060 certificate in 2022 we stated it was the start for the business in terms of looking at sustainability and ways in which we can continually reduce our carbon footprint.

“I am delighted to say our efforts that included additional LED lighting, installing double glazing, increasing our use of a super-fast drying paint system along with ensuring our equipment is maintained to the highest standards have been rewarded with a significant reduction in our carbon footprint.”
