Finalists revealed for Ezi Methods Golf Challenge

The 20 finalists competing in the Ezi Methods Industry Golf Challenge for the honour of being best golfer in the vehicle repair sector have been confirmed.

Those who have secured their places will tee-off at the prestigious Old Thorns Golf Club in Hampshire on 27 September after respective successes by taking part in the ‘qualifying’ rounds held over the spring and summer in conjunction with corporate events organised by CAPS, Stellantis, Morelli and Fix Auto UK.

The final foursome named earned their places after success in the Ethan’s Golf Day annual charity event organised in memory of Ethan Linwood.  

Kevern Thompson (representing CAPS), James Fraser (Frasers Accident Repair), Claire Hart (CAPS) and Richard Eadie (CAPS) booked their places after success in the CAPS golf day.

Mark Andrews (Axalta), Harry Innes (Gemini ARC), Paul Smith (Gemini ARC) and Simon Taylor (Stellantis) will tee off after succeeding at the Stellantis event.

Scott Burns (Fairlight Coachworks), Dave Stevens (Sylvester Crash Repair), Dan Patterson (Fix Auto Felixstowe) and Calum Mackichan (Fix Auto Felixstowe) succeeded during the Morelli Golf Day.

Ben Healey (Fix Auto Birmingham East), Anthony Cunnington (Swift Abrasives), Dave Underwood (Turner Aviation) and Clayton Redhead (Dunlop Aircraft Tyres) secured their places after winning the Fix Auto UK golf day, while Andrew Moring (Morelli Group), Dean Marshall (Brian Robson coachworks), Stuart Freeman (Axalta) and Paul Hughes (Premier Bodyworks) were the toast of Ethan’s Golf Day.

The qualifiers will be joined by a group of invited guests from some of the vehicle repair sectors’ leading stakeholders who will be playing in the Ezi Methods Annual Golf Day running concurrently, with the winning team also competing for the Ezi Methods Industry Golf Challenge winners spot.

It was always our idea to stage an event whereby we would unearth the best golfers and the calibre of those lined up will ensure whoever holds our trophy aloft will rightly be able to call themselves the best in our sector.”
