WAI takes stock with new expansion

Automotive electrics supplier WAI has extended its UK warehouse to increase stock levels and help meet customer demand.

The investment is in response to continued supply disruptions making it important to hold more product. The company has also added more stock space to its headquarters in Bognor Regis to improve nationwide customer service.

Richard Welland, managing director at WAI UK, said: “Our existing European warehouse in the Netherlands remains a key part of our distribution but with the delays in logistics and additional costs faced by customers importing product, WAI has made the investment to stock wider and deeper product ranges in the UK.”

The extension at WAI’s UK headquarters provides the company with an extra 10,000 sqft of space offering additional racking for more stock space. Meanwhile, the company has also increased its range to include new electric vehicle (EV) charging cables and a portable power charger.

Welland saids: “Our new warehouse can hold up to an extra 900 pallets of stock, meaning our availability is higher than ever before. This increased product availability, coupled with our continual investment in the WAI brand, means we’re now one of the largest automotive aftermarket rotating electrics suppliers throughout the UK and a market leader across Europe.”
