RHCV delivers for transport customer

East Midlands’ Renault trucks distributor RH Commercial Vehicles has helped existing customer Merchants Transport with a five-year contract hire deal and aftermarket service package for two new Renault T High 6×2 tractors.

The Leicester-based firm, which specialises in the carriage of a wide variety of goods, was recently in the market for additional vehicles as it built up its fleet when business bounced back following the global pandemic.

RHCV’s Cossington dealership, also in Leicester, had provided support to Merchants last summer when it made the switch to Renault for the first time, moving away from competitor brand Volvo. Hauliers from the Stoney Stanton-based company were so impressed with the product range that there was never any question this time round that Renault trucks were the preferred option.

RHCV has grown significantly in the past few years, expanding from one to six sites across the region. The firm employs a dedicated team of 140 staff and invested £70,000 in its Leicester site in Cossington. Alongside the Cossington expansion, RHCV has also moved into Northamptonshire and opened a brand new £3.5m facility in Nottingham, as well as new sites just outside Newark in Tuxford in North Nottinghamshire and Peterborough.
