Multivan receives five-star rating

Euro NCAP has awarded a five-star rating to Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle’s new Multivan.
In the third round of testing this year, the van scored very well in crash safety and assistance systems, with an outstanding overall mark for impact protection.
The new Multivan is equipped as standard with a driver airbag, a front-seat passenger airbag, a centre airbag and side airbags in the cockpit, plus curtain airbags all the way back to the third row of seats. As a result of the combination of the airbags with the corresponding layout of the body structure, it achieved 90% of the maximum possible rating points for adult occupant protection.
In the category child safety, the van achieved a result of 89% while scoring 87% in the safety assist ranking.
