LKQ Euro Car Parts unveils new training options

LKQ Euro Car Parts has launched a new membership tier for its LKQ Academy to help give technicians more flexibility in their training journey.

In a first for the independent aftermarket, LKQ Academy Platinum offers workshop customers access to 20 training days – across 25 locations – and 20 eLearning courses annually for £2,499 a year, with no limit to the number of staff who can be trained.

The new Platinum membership covers the full LKQ Academy training catalogue, with resources ranging from technical education to business support and management courses.

All courses are IMI-approved, and are updated regularly to reflect the latest trends in the independent aftermarket.

Meanwhile, for individual technicians, LKQ Academy also offers Gold, Silver and Bronze tier memberships, which begin at £649 for a 12-month period.

Bob Wiffen, workshop solutions director at LKQ Euro Car Parts, said: “Workshops need to evolve and adapt to meet the ever-changing demands of motorists and their vehicles, so it’s important that everyone on the team has affordable access to quality training.

“That’s exactly what our Platinum membership has been designed to deliver, by giving workshops more flexibility within a single package than they’ve ever had before, and at an unbeatable price.

“As well as covering everything technicians need to know for a first-time fix from ADAS to hybrids/EV and everything in between, the business management courses we offer to garages’ support staff are proving increasingly popular. We’re helping independent workshops tighten up their back-office processes, their marketing capabilities and the experience they offer at front-of-house, to ensure they continue to compete with the dealerships.”
