Industry mourns sad passing of Alan Ramsbottom

Morelli Group has announced the sad passing of Alan Ramsbottom, a colleague and friend to many people within our industry.
He lost his battle with cancer on 5 May, surrounded by his wife Helen and sons Joe and Ben.
Alan was one of Morelli Group’s longest-serving employees, starting work at Chapel Auto Factors in 1983, just before his 16th birthday. This business was bought by Bancroft’s in 1994 and then became part of the Morelli Group in 1998. Alan rose through the ranks, running the Sheffield branch as manager before moving into sales and eventually leading the northern territory as Regional Sales Manager.
He was a family man who was much-loved and respected by everyone at Morelli and will be sorely missed by his friends, colleagues and customers. He maintained his sense of humour and stoic positivity in the face of his illness, attending sales meetings until very recently.
The funeral has been arranged for 9.40 on Friday, 20 May, at Pontefract Crematorium, Wakefield Rd, Pontefract WF8 4HA.
