Fix Auto announces major new investment

Fix Auto Cheltenham has become the latest franchise partner within Fix Auto UK’s network to reveal a major investment.

Kieran Humphries and Andrew Emery are in the throes of transforming the 15,000-sqft building into a state-of-the-art and highly efficient repair centre.

When complete, the new site will effectively be a four-fold increase in workspace and the creation of 25 work bays over their previous building. It will also see the introduction of a MOT service station and garage services for MOT service work. The £400,000 investment has been two years in the making and comes exactly four years since the bodyshop joined the network.

Central to the new site will be two spray booths, which will help push productivity over 200 vehicles a month, a significant increase over the 50 vehicles a month the business is currently capable of achieving.

Emery said: “This is truly an exciting time for the business. We joined Fix Auto UK in July 2018 with the sole ambition of taking the business to a whole new level. Here we are, four years on, fulfilling that goal. We would not be embarking on this if it were not for the help and operational support we have received along with the confidence being part of the network brings.

“Kieran and the team behind him have worked tremendously hard and have elevated the business but are restricted by our existing facilities. While we were ambitious four years ago, that’s nothing compared to how we are today having witnessed first-hand from other sites within the network just what can be achieved. It made complete commercial and business sense to invest in the right building that will help us achieve our ambitions.”

Ian Pugh, managing director for Fix Auto UK, said: “Fix Auto Cheltenham’s story is truly inspiring. Here we have a business that joined the network with such potential and a great local reputation but needed that extra something, call it a missing ingredient, to fulfil its true potential. They have simply outgrown their existing site and so they’re investing heavily and developing a brand new site to enable them to continue their growth and development. I am proud to say that we have provided that support and guidance to help their journey.

“It’s phenomenal to hear just how their progressing and the new site will undoubtedly be another flagship repair centre for our network.”

The announcement comes six weeks after Fix Auto Chelmsford owner Danny Ashwell revealed his major investment resulting in the development of four sites in Essex in as many years.
