AutoFlow unveils new repairer pilot

A select number of AutoFlow 4:G Repairers have started a pilot for a direct connection to ‘TPS – for Volkswagen Group Genuine Parts’.

This new feature will allow repairers to send and receive quotes digitally and order parts seamlessly from within the management system, having already received validated part information and pricing.

Perhaps more importantly, the AutoFlow 4:G repairer will receive live part status updates including backorder statuses and ETA’s which will have an industry-wide benefit in courtesy car utilisation.

The proactive nature of this development means that communication between the repairer and vehicle manufacturer is seamless and efficient, while the information is in the right place at the right time,

Chris McKie, CEO, Vizion, said: “This is a big part of the jigsaw in the war on escalating repairer and supplier non-productive cost. It removes layers of administrative duplications between VDA’s, parts departments and customer services by enabling synchronous updating and enhanced customer communications.

“It truly is the gift that keeps giving, increasing satisfaction and reducing cost with advanced system capabilities. Aligned to our recent announcements and the bi-directional connectivity to leading estimating systems, there will be reduced need for repairers to use multiple system solutions and the extra cost and effort associated with that.”
