Vella Group becomes Living Wage employer

The Vella Group has announced that it is now an accredited Living Wage employer, through the Living Wage Foundation.

The Real Living Wage is calculated on the basic cost of living and exceeds the UK government’s National Living Wage, and it rises annually, adding extra security that it will be reviewed in line with impacts of the economy and the cost of living.

With inflationary pressures a reality for everyone, the Group felt that paying the Real Living Wage was an important step in helping ensure that all employees can afford the basics in life, and have enough left over to live on.

Helen Driscoll, Head of HR at The Vella Group, said: “The leadership team has always had a real belief in wanting to be an ethical business, and one in which everyone has the opportunity to develop and earn a decent living.
