Tablet cures bodyshop ordering headaches

A new system has been launched enabling bodyshops and cosmetic repairers to order stock automatically on a tablet.

AIMS Lite has been introduced by ACIS after a successful trial at several bodyshops. It is built around Application Programming Interface software (APIs), which enables applications to talk to each other.

Order are placed by scanning the barcode, while a core stock profile can be mandated on the system, which means users can only order from the pre-set basket of products.

Graham O’Neill, chief executive of ACIS, said: “Technology is at the heart of ACIS’ value added offering so we are continuing to evolve our platforms using the latest software applications to make stock ordering for bodyshops easier, more streamlined and efficient, saving them time, improving profitability and increasing productivity.”
