Nissan to develop Sunderland Gigafactory

Nissan is expected to announce plans to build the UKs first battery Gigafactory in Sunderland, creating thousands of new jobs in the area.
Supported by investment from the government, the site could open in 2024 and produce batteries for about 200,000 cars every year.
It’s also been reported the company may announce the launch of a new electric model.
